Andaman Marine Consultants is the working base of managing director Andy Dowden and is a registered as a limited company in Phuket, Thailand.
Events
The company was a consultant and effectively organiser of the PIMEX with Image Asia Events from 2003 to 2006. In January 2007 Andaman Marine Consultants took over ownership of the show and relocated it for 2007 to the five-star Royal Phuket Marina.
AMC continues to act in a consulting capacity to Image Asia Events for the Phuket Race Week.

Andy Dowden is an English marine engineer and has lived in Thailand since 1984. He has been involved in most aspects of the marine industry since its small beginnings in the late 80s. He was involved in the development of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta for many years and was President in 2002. Andy is co-author of the definitive sailing guide to the region… Andaman Sea Pilot.
